Sussex Bird Reports 44-53 (1991-2000)

The annual report continued to grow and the staple binding was severely tested in the 126 page 1993 report. This was the last report Charles Clark printed and thereafter the cover and paper changed to a more glossy texture and the binding altered to accommodate the larger volume. The 1993 report was the last to be typeset by printers and from 1994 the printers were presented with computer files, typeset and designed by the editorial team. Graham Roberts edited the first reports for 1991 to 1993, Sarah Patton the next two, Lawrence Holloway the reports for 1996 and 1997 and Paul James the last three of this series. Alcedo Publishing printed the volumes for 1994 and 1995 whilst Sussex Litho Ltd of Birdham produced the remainder. The PDF files for 1991 to 1993 derived from scanned images, for 1994 partly scanned images but also Word files and thereafter from Word files. The more modern volumes will allow searching for key words. The species order remained similar throughout this decade.
