An early morning wander round my regular circuit produced 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 1 Common Whitethroat, 2 Reed Warblers, 1 Wheatear and a very noisy Whimbrel at the back of the Breech Pool. A Yellow Wagtail landed in the fields but stayed less that 30 seconds before continuing northwards. In the back fields a pair of Little Owls is holding territory. Cetti's warblers were particularly noisy this morning and I recorded them at 6 sites.
