I've spent a lot of free time in January/February trying to see a Bewick's Swan. This has included missing them by a matter of minutes and arriving at Pulborough Brooks at stupid times in the morning. Today I left my office at Lucastes Mews, Haywards Heath to go to my car at 4.55pm. I looked up at the Blackbird singing in a fur tree when 3 low flying Bewick's Swans flew over. Certainly made my office list a bit more interesting and I can finally have a lie in this weekend.
