Sighting Description

Amazingly dead at sea, given the storms of recent days and especially last night; all I managed to see was a flock of 15 Wigeon W, a couple of distant Kittiwakes and a few of the local Sanderlings, Turnstones and Grey Plovers moving back and forth – not even a Gannet! Surely there had to be a petrel, a phalarope or something decent, but no, not a sniff – all the more frustrating as Portland and places further west have been turning up good birds all week. A check of the few sheltered spots also failed to locate anything of note, so things can only get better.
