Sighting Description
To continue on from the 27th, having spent all morning at Weir Wood I returned again in the evening. Around 50 Swifts were now in, these being with 200 or so varied hirundines, mostly Swallows. On the dam there was a male Little Ringed Plover, whilst an aerial battle between a Hobby and Kestrel was entertaining. Little of note was then seen until 30th when two delightful Black Terns were feeding among the 120+ Swifts and a further 300 hirundines, these included a good number of Sand Martins still. Also a pair of adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Nice to see April go out in style!
