Highlights of a day in West Sussex included 50+ Sand Martins, 7 Chiffchaffs, a Nightingale and a Garden Warbler at Chichester Gravel Pits. At Sidlesham Ferry pool and surrounding marsh, we recorded 51 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Little Ringed Plover (inc. 3 juveniles), 35 Dunlin, 5 Common Sandpipers, 3 Curlew Sandpipers, 2 Greenshank, a Lesser Whitethroat and a Nightingale. At Coldwaltham Sewage works, 20+ Chiffchaff and several Willow Warblers. (Chris Brown, Bob Self and Katie Hoff).
