A GLOSSY IBIS at Carter's Flood at approx 12.30pm today (for its 3rd day). Walk north alongside the Royal Military Canal from Toot Rock, Cliff End for half a mile and view from the hide overlooking the pool. Before our arrival it had been seen on the far side of the pool from the hide but in the time we were there it was generally elusive in the vegetation to the right of the hide. It did however show several times through the screen on the right as you approach the hide. Also 4 Little Egrets, a pair of Ravens over, Kingfisher, 10 Stonechats and 2 Siskins with a party of Goldfinches. Black-tailed Godwit on Pett Pools. (Paul James, Sussex Wildlife Walks).
