Sighting Description

At 08.00 this morning there were 26 (twenty-six) green sandpipers on the north brooks. Also present were 3 or 4 common sandpipers, ca. 12 snipe, 1 ruff and ca.30 teal. Numerous chiffchaffs, willow warblers, whitethroats and blackcaps around the trail. Later in the day a hobby, 1 ringed plover, 1 whinchat and a spotted flycatcher were seen from Nettley's hide (per Clive Hope). Yesterday, a black darter dragonfly was seen on the heathland restoration areas (per Ben Rainbow).
