Sighting Description
An adult RED-BACKED SHRIKE at the southern end of the island in bushes alongside the road where cars park for Pilsey Island. Initially seen near the hide overlooking Pilsey Sands. Bird flew east to location described and was making frequent food forays. Two Ospreys seen from the same location - one on a post to the west of the old landing lights and the other on a marker beacon at the top of Thorney Channel. There were 2 colour-ringed Greenshank. The adult was right leg red and left leg yellow, whilst the juvenile was right leg green and left leg yellow. A total of 22 Wheatears but very few other migrants. Two roe deer, one a juvenile.
