| Sighting Description |
Whilst on the topic of geese, at about 6.00pm on the 6th I was watching the drake Scaup from the west end of the reservoir when hundreds of geese rained in mainly Greylag and Canada with some hybrids of both species. Of note there was what I believe to be a 'Blue morph' Snow Goose presumably of captive origin. Has this goose been viewed by any other birders? It is significantly smaller than its neighbouring Greylags, with a more delicate orange bill, darker plumage and a white neck. Also of note were 3 Kingfishers using the perches in front of the hide. |
