| Sighting Description |
I was in our back garden in Littleworth about 3pm this afternoon and a Red Kite came over from the direction of the monastery and was flying west. I had been told of a red kite seen in Shermanbury in the last couple of days so I was not particularly surprised but very pleased as it is the first "garden" record for Hardanger. Our Turtle Dove is still calling but try as we might we cannot actually see it as it appears to be in a very large oak tree - annoying. Finally I was told of a large gathering, maybe 50 plus Swifts in the High Street in Partridge Green yesterday - surely they are not already leaving? (Iris Simpson). |
