Sighting Description

Ten (8 ad, 2 juv) Bewick's swans on the north brooks this morning - 8 of them left at 07.55 and headed south, leaving 2 adults feeding together on the edge of the flood. The usual female peregrine caught a lapwing at 07.45 and took it back it's usual perch near the Hanger viewpoint. Yesterday (Sunday) up to 13 Bewick's swans spent much of the day at Pulborough - there were 5 still present at 16.15, and a red-necked grebe was reported on the south brooks. Also yesterday, at Amberley Wildbrooks, 9 Bewick's were present on the eastern side of the site at about 14.00.
