| Sighting Description |
Pagham Lagoon and beach this morning had plenty of Willow Warblers singing, 5 Wheatears, 85 Mediterranean Gulls loafing and washing on the lagoon as well as the resident crazy male Garganey. Also a few Sand Martins and Swallows coming in off the sea. A walk around North Wall and Honer Farm produced little in the way of migrants although 2 Grey Partridges were a nice surprise. Ivy lake, Chichester Gravel Pits had a 1st summer Little Gull hawking insects off the water. At Waltham Brooks a good selection of Swallows and Sand Martins, a couple of House Martins and a single Sedge Warbler. (Bernie Forbes & Dave Smith). |
