Regarding the Cuckmere goose which I've just noticed discussed on this page, I identified it from Madge and Burn's Wildfowl as a female Magellan Goose Chloephaga picta when I saw it with Canada Geese beside Charleston reedbed on 6th September, the same ID I gave it when Miou and I saw it at Bines Bridge, Adur confluence on 20th January, it being too robust to be the similar plumaged Ruddy-headed Goose C. rubidiceps and its head colour wrong for Ashy-headed C. poliocephala.
