Sighting Description With a clear blue sky, no wind, and the sun just warming the air we looked forward to spending a very pleasant few hours bird watching. At most of the viewing points were very good numbers of Wigeon and Teal. Also a few Pintail, Shoveler and Shelduck. Many thousands of Lapwing. Our high point was a female Peregrine swooping down on the large flocks of birds trying in vain to pick out one of the weaker birds. Redwings working the hedgerows in many of the fields. A Green Woodpecker and a Jay in the trees at the rear of the main building. Many different tits on the feeders at the side and the front. All this and fantastic weather.
