| Sighting Description |
Early morning visit to Pulborough Brooks produced 61 species. The highlights were a Barn Owl hunting in the meadow to the left of the centre (beside childrens' play area), Chiffchaffs singing all around the site and one building a nest in the picnic area on the way to Nettleys, and two Willow Warblers chasing each other between the picnic area and the Hanger. Four Common Buzzards were over South Brooks with a Sparrowhawk. Two of the Buzzards were displaying. A Brambling was in clear view at Jupps View along with a Blackcap and 2 Goldcrests. Redshanks were mating and one Mute Swan was being very agressive to anything that landed on his stretch of water. Unfortunately no sign of any Common Cranes. |
