Had a call from a friend yesterday afternoon Friday 1st June at 3.30pm to tell me he had just seen a snowy owl for the second time! The first sighting was on 28 May at 2.20pm on the A26 a quarter of a mile north of the Stewards Enquiry pub where it flew across in front of him and then observed the bird drifting over the fields west of the A26. The second sighting was on the A275 near St Peters Church where again it flew across in front of him but this time landing in a tree. Has anyone else seen or heard of a snowy owl being out and about around Sussex?
