Having come across the nightjar at Pagham Harbour yesterday (where also saw whinchat nearby and spotted flycatcher at Church Norton) I was at Woods Mill this morning running a dawn chorus when a nightjar started churring at 4.30am not more than 10 yards away from 22 people. Also purring turtle dove.
