Late evening walk to the reeds via Combe Haven stream, reed warblers, chiffchaff, wrens, song thrushes all in song, dozens of jackdaws provided a flight spectacle on coming to roost in the willows, blackcaps, pair greylaggeese, barn owl hunting in adjoining pasture. Evening capped off by a nightingale - cuckoo duet which lasted over 10 mins, wonderful. Not linked to this but noticed during winter blackbirds vanished, then turned up en-mass in March in Bexhill area, had they migrated?
