Friston Forest has always been a disappointment and today saw no change: we walked from West Dean through the forest to Lullington Heath and back in a circuit and recorded one hobby, a male stonechat and a few breeding linnets on the heath (pic attached) and some 20 blackcaps (saw one), seven garden warblers (saw none) and single chiffchaff and willow warbler all in song and one coal tit.
