On a walk across meadows near Silver Hill Wood flushed out 2 Woodcock and a single Meadow Pipit. Also recorded a female Siskin on feeders earlier. In answer to a previous poster's question, yes I'd agree that there has been a significant rise in Greenfinch numbers at this site over the past 6 months. Goldfinch numbers have been nothing short of spectacular this winter with frequent flocks of 20+ apparently resisdent near the feeders.
