22 Mar 2012 Peregrine

Only the second time in 20 years, a Peregrine really low over my Alfriston garden. In magnificent plumage, quartering the fields and woods behind my back garden and then came right over me to show off his beauty. Our local Peregrines are fairly usual at Seaford Head and the quarry at Lewes, although I personally only see them very infrequently. They are a fabulous bird at close quarters.
